Anastasios G. Kastrinakis and Jennifer A. Migliori Joins Duane Morris LLP as Co-Vice Chairs

Duane Morris LLP has appointed partners Anastasios G. Kastrinakis and Jennifer A. Migliori co-vice chairs of the Tax Division within the firm’s Corporate Practice Group.

Anastasios G. Kastrinakis practices in the areas of international, corporate and partnership taxation. His practice focuses on cross border tax planning and taxation of cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions and related issues, including investment fund formation and private equity transactions. He advises individuals, corporations, partnerships, family offices and investment funds on the structure and tax aspects of various cross border transactions, particularly inbound transactions. He also advises non-U.S. persons and investment funds on the tax aspects of investing in U.S. real estate, including tax issues pertaining to FIRPTA. Kastrinakis also advises businesses on tax aspects of cross border operations and cross-border tax optimization strategies and planning. He represents numerous foreign family offices, companies and investment funds, particularly based in Latin America, on U.S. tax issues. On the domestic side, Kastrinakis provides tax advice to buyers and sellers in private transactions, including purchases and sales of partnerships and S corporations. In addition, he advises non-U.S. individuals and families on pre-immigration tax planning.

Kastrinakis is a graduate of New York University School of Law (LL.M., taxation, 2005), the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2004) and Cornell University (A.B., 2001).

Jennifer Migliori practices in the areas of domestic and international taxation, wealth preservation planning and business transaction planning. She has experience developing and implementing tax-efficient investment structures. Her practice includes entity and trust formation, planning and compliance. She also counsels clients on matters concerning the formation and maintenance of non-profit organizations. Migliori regularly advises clients on various tax matters including international information sharing arrangements, tax treaties, FATCA, expatriation, pre-immigration tax planning and tax controversy matters including audit representation and voluntary disclosures. Migliori has experience representing families, investors, fund managers, family offices, financial institutions and advisors.

Migliori is a graduate of New York University School of Law (LL.M., taxation, 2014), the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D., 2013), where she was editor-in-chief of the Virginia Tax Review, and the University of Miami Herbert Business School (B.B.A., magna cum laude, 2006). She is also a graduate of the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
