The firm’s 29 new partners are spread among 16 offices and 13 practice groups, and women comprise almost half of the new partner class. The 35 new counsel are from 11 offices and 12 practices, and this group consists of 19 women.
“Each of the talented lawyers in this diverse group promoted this year demonstrated outstanding legal knowledge and skill, exceptional dedication to client service, high levels of productivity and strong firmwide citizenship,” said Casey Ryan, Reed Smith’s Global Head of Legal Personnel and a member of the firm’s Senior Management Team. “They each made valuable contributions to our clients and the success of our business, and we are confident they will continue to do so.”
Those promoted to partner and counsel are made up of lawyers who began their careers at Reed Smith, as well as those who joined as laterals, demonstrating the varied paths to partnership available at the firm. The largest group of partners and counsel are from seven offices: New York, London, Philadelphia, Chicago, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Hong Kong.
