Kantar, the world’s leading marketing data and analytics company, has appointed Rebecca Symondson as General Counsel effective 1 October. Based in London, Rebecca will lead the global legal team and join the Group Executive Team, reporting directly to Chris Jansen, Kantar Chief Executive.
Rebecca is an experienced leader of large, international, and diverse teams and brings extensive experience from her role as Group Legal Director for Corporate, Commercial, and Compliance at Vodafone Group Plc. In this role, Rebecca led an international team of 70 professionals responsible for the delivery of Vodafone’s corporate, treasury, M&A, commercial, technology, outsourcing, procurement, roaming, and compliance activities.
Her career began in the City of London, including eight years at Slaughter and May. Before she joined Vodafone, she spent nine years at Thomas Cook, including as Group General Counsel. Rebecca is also an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute and a graduate of University College London.
