On Thursday, October 27, The New York State Bar Association will present the Fourth Annual Corporate Counsel Institute. It begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m., followed by a reception, at the Park Central Hotel at 870 Seventh Avenue in Manhattan.The New York State Bar Corporate Counsel Institute will review some of the hot topics and recent developments in corporate law. A distinguished faculty will update participants on major issues, from employment law to intellectual property matters.
A luncheon keynote address features Dan Dorsky, senior FCPA compliance counsel at TYCO International, who will discuss federal prosecution and corporate risk issues.
Other topics include a review of litigation avoidance and ADR with moderator Robert L. Haig, partner, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.
Rachelle Stern, senior counsel of Macy's, Inc., and Anne S. Cashman of Pyror Cashman, LLP will discuss social media, employment law EEOC initiatives and job classification pitfalls. Other topics will look at the three regulations in-house counsel should know about: Dodd-Frank Whistleblower issues, FCPA/Anti-Bribery rules, and the Responsible Corporate Officer Doctrine.
