Join the National Association of Women Lawyers for a two-day General Counsel Institute on Thursday and Friday, November 3 and 4, at the Westin Hotel, 270 West 43rd Street in New York City.
The program on Thursday runs from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The institute will provide a unique opportunity for women corporate counsel to learn from leading experts and legal colleagues in an interactive environment. Plenary and workshop sessions with general counsel of major public corporations and nonprofit organizations will foster frank discussions about what it takes to build and strengthen relationships up, down and across organizations, improve legal skills, and make strategic decisions.
The topic of this year's institute is building bridges and making connections, and the plenary session will focus on general counsel building bridges with colleagues and business partners. There are two keynote speakers: Amy Schulman, executive vice president and general counsel of Pfizer Inc., and Dan Abrams, legal analyst for ABC News and author.
Other speakers are Cynthia Cooper, CEO, CooperGroup LLC;Debra Perry and Sheri Pastor, McCarter & English LLP; Merrie Cavanaugh, associate general counsel, AT&T; and Kit Addleman, Haynes & Boone, LLP.
