The Workshare team is known for celebrating success and there’s good cause to celebrate this month!
Leading analyst house Gartner has named Workshare in its 2014 Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS) Magic Quadrant. Gartner tracks over 160 global companies in the enterprise file sync and sharing sector, so for Workshare to be selected as one of only 19 vendors is a huge testament to the simplicity and data control Workshare provides and the momentum we have seen over the past twelve months.
Gartner has named Workshare as a niche player in the Quadrant – a position that perfectly matches our company vision and fits with Workshare’s focus of developing secure, enterprise-grade products that meet the specific requirements of semi- and highly regulated industries. In the report, Workshare is recognized for having a number of strengths, notably:
Elegant and simple user experience. The Gartner report highlights Workshare’s “elegant and simple” user experience and “rich feature set to support group communication in social, document-centric and co-authoring scenarios, with a focus on mobile productivity.”
Enterprise data protection. It also highlights our flagship product, Workshare Compare, which allows users to compare multiple versions of complex documents, and Workshare Protect, which removes hidden data from documents. The report identifies the importance of this functionality within the enterprise file sync and share product, stating “Enterprises that commonly work with complex and long documents likely will appreciate Workshare's redlining and metadata scrubbing tools.”
Being featured in the Gartner MQ is a key milestone for Workshare. As a company, we’re dedicated to developing innovative and secure applications, and we’re looking forward to continuing this in the next twelve months.
