FisherBroyles, LLP announces it has expanded its Environmental, Health and Safety group with the arrival of Christopher W. Boyle who joins the firm as a partner in Philadelphia.
Christopher joins the firm from Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP where he was chair of their Environment and Energy Practice Group. He is the eighth partner to join the firm from Faegre Drinker in recent weeks and this news follows the recent arrival of Sid Steinberg and David Renner as partners in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh respectively.
Christopher is a former practicing licensed civil engineer and is admitted to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His practice focuses on evaluating environmental liabilities for corporate, real estate and financing transactions, and quantifying associated risks for clients. He tailors environmental due diligence for single-site property deals, private equity platforms, multimillion-dollar brownfields developments and multibillion-dollar international manufacturing transactions.
Christopher also counsels clients on allocation of business risks, deal structures, post-closure environmental compliance and crisis management. He also uses his detailed knowledge of potential societal impacts to develop community relations plans that provide balanced, real-world communications to the public.
Christopher is an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and is a Past Chair of its Environmental Law Committee. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania and the New Jersey Bar Associations and a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials Committee E-50 on Environmental Assessments.
Christopher was selected for inclusion in Chambers USA for Pennsylvania and Environment from 2012 to 2020 and was listed in Best Lawyers® for Environmental Law in 2020-21.
Christopher holds a B.S. and Masters in Civil Engineering from Villanova University, a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and a M.B.A. from Drexel University.
