EisnerAmper managing director Deborah Friedland was acknowledged by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) for “Mid-Sized Transaction of the Year.” She led a transaction team that worked on the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, an Illinois-based hotel. The Chapter 11 reorganization plan included the successful restructuring of bond debt, revitalization of the property, and navigation of a creditor challenge.
The Transaction of the Year Award recognizes those individuals who orchestrate a non-operational restructuring, including merger and acquisition, sale, loan, liquidation and/or debt restructuring to preserve value in a struggling business.
The awards are based on a rigorous peer-review process whereby each award committee member reads and rates each entry. The scoring is blind and averaged across the board to determine an aggregated score. Entries are judged on individual merit where judges look for well-defined, measurable outcomes.
